The graduate school of Human Science and Environment involves three postgraduate programs (Human Environment, Social Environment and Biodiversity, Conservation and Natural History), focusing on technologies and policies relating to humans and the environment, from the viewpoint of human perspectives. These programs also aim to foster the local talent of those able to present thoughtful concepts about environmental issues, and to cultivate social circumstances that encourage the development of environment-conscious humanities. In addition, these courses aim to foster the local talent of those acquainted with business practices with knowledge of technologies and policies.
Based on these principles and the targets of the graduate school, the master's course aims to foster not only scientists who can work on research activities to solve social issues by focusing on integrating their knowledge and specialties, but also professionals who have advanced specific knowledge, and who are also able to examine and solve problems practically.
