Unitarian Chapel in Taunton:
"Samuel Taylor Coleridge, poet
and philosophcer preached in
this chapel, 1797-1798.
An explanatory note says: "The barrow,
or Bronze Age burial mound, which is in
front of you, is scheduled monument,
one of many on the Quantock Hills. Most
of these mounds contained or still
contain the burials or the crenation urns
of individuals who lived here about 3,000
years ago."

Excursions
The ninth Coleridge Summer Conference was held at the Somerset College of Agriculture and Horticulture,
Cannington, Bridgewater from 22nd to 28th July 2004. Some sixty speakers presented papers on Coleridge.
